Blogging communities can be extremely difficult to understand. I’m actually not sure that many people within the various communities have a full grasp of what the community is all about or why they joined, other than of course, everyone else was doing it and it seemed like the thing to do. Well, let’s start with community. This is a group of people that share something in common. In neighborhoods, the community is about people who live within a certain distance from one another. Communities have at least one common interest or goal.

Online blogging communities are really no different. Many of them have the shared interest of the Internet or blogging. The community is the place where they are able to ‘congregate’. And yet they are very different because each blog and each blogger is an individual without a goal that is necessarily shared with others in the blogging community. However, there are certain things that make this act as a normal, traditional community.

With blogs there is a community of those who read and respond to the blogs of others. This actually fills a need believe it or not. By having someone read and respond to your blog you are not only being validated but you are also opening the doors to future conversations and correspondences. No one likes talking to themselves all the time so it is wonderful that within the various blogging communities there are actually those that go around reading and leaving comments about the blogs of others.

Another great benefit to joining and becoming involved in a blogging community is the fact that you can share links with other bloggers who have similar blogging interests and even those with quite diverse blogs. The point is that you are gaining exposure by having your link on their blogs and they gain exposure by you placing their blog links on your blog. It’s a “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back” kind of situation and is one of the main reasons that people become involved in blogging communities.

The world is made up of communities. Countries, cities, towns, and neighborhoods all have communities of their own that unite their citizens in one common effort or goal. It makes sense that the Internet is also full of communities. These communities may not have the same physical limits that offline communities have but the ties are just as strong and the benefits as great. Even better, when it comes to blogs you do not have to limit yourself to participating in one community. You can spread the word to as many communities as you have the patience and stamina to keep up with.

I am very passionate about the topic of women and resistance training, mostly because it really irritates me when people have a glass ceiling placed over their heads by someone else.

I consistently hear the following: “My friend Johnny says that I shouldn’t be lifting weights with my legs because they will get big and bulky.” Meanwhile, Johnny is a 127 lb weakling finishing off his 10th set of bicep curls using 12 lb dumbbells. So let’s get to the five must-know resistance training tips for women.

5. Leg work (e.g., lunge or squat) is more effective when you add weight. Besides, it takes a lot less time to do 3 sets of 6-10 reps with weights than 3 sets of 25 without weights.

4. Getting stronger doesn’t equal getting bigger. You can actually become quite strong without getting bigger. Think gymnasts and Cirque du Soleil performers - very strong and not at all big.

3. It’s OK for women to use a barbell. As a matter of fact, a weight is a weight. Just because you use a barbell doesn’t mean you will develop bulk. In reality, barbells can be more effective for fat-loss (and that is what you want, right?) because they force the entire body to work hard. And hard work equals lots of energy used which equals more fat burned.

2. Many times women are led to believe that just a mere whiff of the “guys area of the gym” will instantly add 20 lbs of muscle to their thighs. Let’s use some logic here, please. If it were really that easy to get bulky, don’t you think every guy in the gym would be walking around at a solid 190-225?

The real truth is that anyone you see in person or in a magazine who is bulky has spent years and years TRYING to get that way. So there isn’t a snowball’s chance that just catching the scent of iron is going to cause you to gain 10 or even 5 lbs.

1. If polled, I would guess most women would say they would like to look somewhat athletic or like a fitness model. I would guess that if we took a look at their training regimens, we would find they train frequently and hard with moderate to moderately heavy weights and perform exercises like squats, presses, and deadlifts with a barbell.

Heck, I once saw a training clip of some college volleyball players doing tire flips and, trust me, these girls had legs that any women would kill for.

Hopefully, this little article has dispelled some of the half-truths and lies that many of you have been fed and will keep you from becoming frustrated because you have been led a stray by some half-witted, less-than-effective training program.

My advice is to add a dose or two of iron to your fitness regimen. You’ll have a body to be proud of if you do.

We need to understand the women are different and their approach of the SEO industry goes to a somehow deeper level because women accomplish their tasks with concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. Men tend to be more general in their approach and they focus only on the most important aspects of the search, aiming for the most profitable channels. None of the techniques is erroneous, but in my opinion attention to detail provides for better results on the long-term. There are, of course, some men of SEO who pay careful attention to detail, but not enough to include this trait as a general trait of the SEO professionals, regardless of their biological identity.

Recently I faced a client who asked whether hiring SEO women is better for his business. In his particular case my answer was yes: the site needing optimization sells cosmetic products. It’s pretty obvious that women already know this industry. But when it comes to websites that target general audiences, I’d suggest to hire the SEO you trust.

Unfortunately SEO was misused and right now many of the small companies scattered around the web are immersed in a shadow cone. It’s quite hard to decide who to trust and it’s even harder to understand the real value of an SEO campaign, especially because many Web users believe that everything on the Web comes free. While many resources are indeed free, and SEOs do use them in an SEO campaign, what people really forget to place on their expenses list is time.

In an SEO campaign the time spent on research is the most important aspect and the most valuable too. An SEO customer will have to pay for time and search engine marketing channels such as paid directories, paid advertising, paid links and so on. It’s true that anyone could buy directory listings or advertise through paid channels, but the SEO knows how to target these resources, how to write the ads, what keywords to use and so on.
